Dr. Russanne Low
Dr. Russanne D. Low is a senior Earth scientist at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, Arlington, VA., and is the NASA Earth Science Education Consortium science lead for The GLOBE Program’s GLOBE Observer Mosquito Habitat Mapper . She is currently a Fulbright scholar collaborating with researchers in Brazil at the University of Paraná and the Brazilian Space Agency (2021-2022). In 2018, she was featured as a USAID Grand Challenge female innovator for her work supporting community-based mosquito surveillance and mitigation in response to the Zika outbreak in South America. Russanne studied at the University of Maine (BA) University of Alberta, Canada (MA); Ludwig Maximilian University, Munch, Germany; and earned her Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota (2001).
