Nelson Grisales, Ph. D.


Nelson Grisales is a biologist graduated in the Universidad de Antioquia, with a Master and a PhD in Tropical Medicine form the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. For more than 15 years he has worked with vectors of diseases such as chagas disease, leishmaniasis, dengue and malaria. In recent times, his focus has been on insecticide resistance management and the implementation and evaluation of innovative vector control methods such as Long-Lasting Insecticide-treated Nets with combined ingredients and mosquito population replacement with Wolbachia. Currently he is the Americas entomology advisor and project manager for the World Mosquito Program based in Bogotá, Colombia.
